Online ** Early Response Team - Basic Recertification
Wednesday July 10th 6pm-9pm
Under UMCOR training guidelines, ERTs are badged for three years. In order to maintain the ERT credentials, volunteers must complete one of the two following options- The 3 hour online recertification course via Zoom or in-person or the full 8 hour ERT course again. Note: The 3 hour recertification must be completed within six months of the expiration date on your badge. If you exceed the six month timeline, you must retake the full ERT Basic class in person.
ABOUT THE ERT RECERTIFICATION TRAINING
The class will review the purpose of an Early Response Team:
• To show that the church cares about what has happened to the people,
• To assist the most vulnerable populations with their immediate needs, and
• To provide aid that will help to prevent further damage to homes and property.
The class will also cover team member responsibilities, how to equip a team, how to prevent further damage (the four basic jobs), and more. Training includes: • Tarping, mucking/gutting, salvaging• Tools/Equipment Set-up • Team member safety
Cost: $15 This includes: • Training Resources Manual • Identification Badge
• Rio Texas Conference Early Response Team (ERT) T-shirt.
