Flooding Response Update: Volunteers Asked to Be Ready

Get your teams ready to deploy! More information soon!

Recent heavy rainfall has caused flooding in portions of Uvalde, Medina, and Bandera Counties. Rio Texas Conference Disaster Response is actively gathering information and assessing the extent of damage and community needs.

At this time, Early Response Teams (ERTs) are encouraged to be prepared to deploy if requested. As assessments continue, additional information will be shared regarding volunteer opportunities and response efforts.

As we continue to remember the lives impacted by last year's devastating Hill Country flooding, we remain committed to serving our neighbors with compassion, hope, and practical assistance whenever disaster strikes.

If your ERT certification has expired, now is a great time to recertify. The next Early Response Team Training is scheduled for July 30. This is also an excellent opportunity to invite new volunteers to become certified and ready to serve.

We are grateful for the dedication and willingness of our volunteers. Thank you for standing ready to respond when communities need us most.
